Court Rentals
Looking for a time when your team can have a practice without interruption? Then the court rentals are made just for your team. The court rental will ensure your team a space for basketball or volleyball play. The cost is $20 per court hour which is payable by credit card at the time the reservation is made. Reservations for court rentals will be taken up to one week in advance of the requested date by calling the respective community center.

Daytime Rentals Available
Location: MariCar Community Center
Dates: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, September 21 through May 3
Time: 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Evening Rentals
Location: Available at all community centers
Dates: September 21 through October 22 and March 29 through May 6
Times: Monday through Thursday, 8 to 10 p.m.

Location: MariCar Community Center
Dates: October 27 through March 25
Times: Tuesday and Thursday, 7 to 10 p.m. (May be subject to change)

Early Afternoon Open Gym/Game Room
Early afternoon is a great time to exercise the body and mind in one of our gyms or game rooms. Gyms are available for basketball and volleyball play (no organized team practice is allowed) on the schedule listed below. Game rooms are available Monday through Friday during regular hours of operation. Please call the community center of your choice for information on gym rentals. A 5:1 ratio of children to adults will be enforced for children 6 years and younger. Children 6 years and younger must be accompanied by someone 16 years old or older.

Open Gyms (at Community Centers)
Open gyms are a time for people to drop in to play volleyball and basketball. No organized team practice is allowed. These gyms are open to all ages. A 5:1 ratio of children to adults will be enforced for children 6 years and younger. Children 6 years and younger must be accompanied by someone 16 years old or older.

Dates: September 21, 2009 through May 7, 2010
Times: Monday through Friday, 2:45 to 6 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 1-5 p.m.
Evening Hours: Night open gyms run Monday through Thursday, September 21, 2009 through October 22, 2009, and March 29, 2010 through May 6, 2010 from 6:30-8 p.m.

Monday Night Open Gym
(Oyate Community Center)
Oyate Community Center will be the site of evening open gym basketball throughout the school year and is open to all ages. Court rentals will not be available during this time. No organized team practice is allowed. A 5:1 ratio of children to adults will be enforced for children 6 years and younger. Children 6 years and younger must be accompanied by someone 16 years old or older.

Times: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Enlarged Open Gym
(Located at Other Elementary Schools)
Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation, in cooperation with the Sioux Falls Public Schools, offer more opportunities for basketball and volleyball open gym use at additional neighborhood elementary schools across the city. No organized team practice is allowed. A 5:1 ratio of children to adults will be enforced for children 6 years and younger. Children 6 years and younger must be accompanied by someone 16 years and older:
**It is recommended that anyone interested in playing volleyball on the weekends should use the gym space at Laura Wilder Elementary.

Open gyms are located at the following schools:

• Terry Redlin Elementary, 1721 East Austin Street
